The US has unveiled a new privacy bill that would ban targeted advertising on digital platforms by social media giants like Facebook, Google and others.
Introduced on Jan. 18 by Reps. Anna Eshoo and Jan Schakowsky and Sen. Cory Booker, ‘The Banning Surveillance Advertising Act’, seeks to limit the ways that Big Tech serve ads to their users, banning the use of personal data altogether.
